ACTIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS AND CARERS

CREATING A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE

Active Parents will see ‘children’ form an active relationship with their parents or carers, building a healthier lifestyle, gain more confidence in activities, build trust, developing stronger communication skills, create values and integrity, team building and achieving greater understanding in team sports.

Parents’ involvement in the sessions increases the children’s self-confidence and self-esteem, whilst strengthening the emotional bond between child and parent. Parents act as individual coaches to the children, encouraging them, and helping them to take part in our unique activities and games (under the guidance of a qualified coach.)

Why Active Parents

The idea of active parents has come from parents and carers themselves who find it difficult to engage with their children, or even can’t find the time, or don’t know where to start.

Our Aim

Our aim is to use of interventions and strategies, through sport, to build a healthier and positive mental wellbeing amongst children and parents/carers.
Digital Detox
We understand that social media and electronic gaming has taken over the lives of some children, which has a negative impact on their mental health, as relationships between children has been affected over the years. we want to create that balance between both in a fun friendly environment.
Balance
Active parents believe allowing time to create that balance will play a vital role in children and parents mental health. Our physical interventions also aim at keeping fit and raising the awareness on healthy balanced lifestyle for both and the importance of being active.
Our Coaches
Active parents highly trained sports coaches will deliver planned activities that involve both parents and children in our multi sports approach on a weekly basis, that consists of mental health and nutrition awareness, multi skills practical sessions that involve fitness for all, and fundamental movements and catching skills.
